About Sandra Dubose
Sandra Dubose is a dynamic motivational speaker, author and smooth jazz vocalist. She teaches others how to build healthy self-esteem through the practice of self-love and self-acceptance. She learned firsthand how to rebuild her own confidence after losing her hair at the age of 25 due to the autoimmune disease Alopecia Areata.
As a testament of her courage and star power as a vocalist, in March 2011 Dubose competed bald in a statewide beauty pageant. She made history when she was crowned 2011 Mrs. Black North Carolina, the first Bald Beauty Queen of the state. In her life-changing book, "My Crown and Glory, It's Not About the Hair," she shares her personal life lessons and six principles she used to shift her life from being a victim to living in victory.
